The ASSEMBLY Show promises engineers and manufacturing executives an in-depth look at the latest innovation in assembly technology.

The 11^th annual ASSEMBLY Show will take place from October 24-26, 2023, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois. Expected to attract thousands of engineers and manufacturing executives, the event will feature the latest products and equipment, offer visitors the chance to connect with potential business partners, and education attendees about the latest process improvement techniques to streamline their operations.

Education

Pre-event webinars will include discussions on manufacturing software, presses and forming equipment, and a look at the Toyota Product System by Olivier Larue, of Ydatum Operations Management Engineering Inc.

Conference programming on Tuesday, October 24, will offer three separate tracks. Topics include the design of automation, lean manufacturing, artificial intelligence (AI) in manufacturing engineering, elements of enthusiastic buy-in to organizational change, automation and AI, attracting great employees and building an effective talent strategy, robotic digital twins, and the advantages of the smart factory. The conference program includes a presentation on how pressure-sensitive adhesives enable advanced electric vehicle battery design.

Roger Koenigsknecht, vice president of North American Connection Systems at Lear Corp., will give the keynote presentation on Wednesday, October 25. Koenigsknecht’s address, “Leveraging Machine Data and Business Intelligence to Position Your People for Future Success,” will examine how drilling down to collect and share unbiased data can position manufacturing companies and their workers for success.

Exhibit Floor

The exhibit floor at this year’s ASSEMBLY Show will highlight products from many parts of the assembly process. Learning Theater Presentations on Wednesday and Thursday allow exhibiting companies to cover topics and demonstrate expertise in the latest advances in assembly technology right on the exhibit hall floor. Guided tours of the assembly floor will also be available starting on Wednesday afternoon. Six tours are offered, with themes that include lean manufacturing and manual assembly, robotics, conveyors and material handling, fastening tools, plastics assembly, and manufacturing software. Conducted by editors of ASSEMBLY Magazine, these tours allow participants will see key exhibits and discuss different products and solutions at each stop.

Networking

The ASSEMBLY Show will kick off in the exhibit hall with the annual Welcome Reception & Taste of Rosemont on Tuesday evening. A staple of the show, participants get to sample local fare and receive a sneak peek at the exhibits, tools, and displays. Additional networking events include a Pub Night networking reception on Wednesday evening and the Morning Mingle & Breakfast on Thursday morning.
