Multi-Shaft Mixers
Multi-shaft mixers with solids/liquid injection manifold (SLIM) technology reportedly enable fast and efficient large-scale powder dispersion into low-viscosity liquids, including resins, oils, melted waxes, emulsions, and aqueous solutions. The pictured VersaMix Model VM-600 is a 600-gal capacity dual-shaft mixer designed for deep vacuum levels. Featuring a high-shear mixer with SLIM technology, the rotor/stator assembly of the VM-600 creates a powerful suction that draws solids sub-surface, directly into the high-shear zone. This method of material addition accelerates powder wet-out and minimizes issues like agglomeration (fisheyes), floating powders, and dusting.

3D Printing Resins for Healthcare Applications
A new portfolio of high-performance photopolymers offers a range of biocompatibility standards from safe-to-touch parts to medical devices. These 3D printing resins are designed and manufactured in accordance with ISO 13485 quality management standards to ensure uniformity in design, development, production, and delivery of medical devices (specifically, it covers the design and manufacturing of biocompatible resins and other materials used to produce non-implantable medical devices). The resins are validated for use in approved workflows, which enables companies to achieve consistent results in volume production while meeting the relevant biocompatibility measures.

Silicone-Based Conformal Coating
DOWSIL™ CC-2588 conformal coating is a tough, abrasion-resistant, silicone-based material that protects printed circuit boards and electronic components against high humidity and corrosion. The reliable silicone-based coating is virtually odorless and offers extremely low volatile organic compounds, according to the company. The conformal coating cures at room temperature for reduced energy consumption, supports spraying for higher throughputs, and enables automated inspection equipment to use ultraviolet light (UV) to identify any voids in the coating. DOWSIL CC-2588 conformal coating cures without ovens to form a tough, scratch-resistant surface.

Clear Joint and Termination Sealant
Clear has been added to the color palette for JTS 1 joint and termination sealant, allowing contractors to quickly and easily complete projects that would otherwise require meticulous and time-consuming color matching. JTS 1 is a 100% solids, moisture-cure urethane joint and termination sealant that is reportedly ideal for use in applications where significant movement or vibration is expected. It adheres to dry and wet surfaces with no sagging or shrinking and minimal odor. According to the company, the sealant reportedly delivers excellent adhesion to concrete, masonry, EPDM, PVC, wood, vinyl, and most other common building materials.

Defoamer Concentrates
Reportedly safe to use and sustainable, TEGO® Foamex 8820 and 8850 defoamer concentrates provide a bio-renewable content of more than 55%. These oil-based defoamer concentrates reportedly exhibit the same defoaming power as siloxane-based products and may be used in compliance with many regulations, such as Swiss Ordinance (Part A), FDA, and others. TEGO Foamex 8820 and 8850 are 100% active renewable oil-based products and don’t contain any solvents, biocides, or mineral oil. TEGO Foamex 8820 is powerful and shear stable, ideal for use at the grinding stage, while TEGO Foamex 8850 is easier to incorporate and more compatible.
