Painter’s Tape
FrogTape® brand has developed Pro Grade Orange™, a premium-grade production painter’s tape that reportedly offers high adhesion to stick to a variety of surfaces, even in hot and humid conditions. It also provides three-day clean removal without shredding.
FrogTape Pro Grade Orange features a conformable backing for ease of use on interior and exterior surfaces. Advanced adhesive technology allows it to adhere to light fixtures, doorknobs, doorways, windows, and a variety of other surfaces that can challenge even the best beige masking tapes.
Two-Component Dispense Valve
The Voltex™ dynamic mix valve, which is designed for dispensing two-component foaming urethanes and silicones, reportedly provides uniform and consistent blending of difficult-to-dispense materials for various applications. This valve is especially applicable to emerging applications in electric vehicle (EV) batteries, such as foam encapsulation.
The company reports that the valve is built to handle foaming urethanes and silicones that are notoriously difficult to work with because of their fast reactivity and expanding nature. These challenges put increased importance on the dispensing process and equipment to prevent poorly mixed material and subsequent maintenance and downtime.
Phenolic Resins for Tapes and Labels
This company has expanded its additives portfolio to include a high-quality, solvent-based phenolic resin for pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) tapes and labels. Typical applications for these phenolic resins include masking tape; ductwork tape; reinforcing, splicing, and electrical insulation tape; and noise vibration harshness (NVH) systems.
“Our team is constantly on the lookout for superior additive solutions to solve our customers’ unmet needs,” said Eduardo Padilla, vice president of Global Sales & Services. “When the opportunity arose to partner with a high-quality supplier of phenolic resins, we knew our customers in the tape and label market would benefit.”
Automated Dispensing System
Automation solutions for vial, bottle filling, and capping are available with the Ring Dex robot, a fully programmable robotic dispensing system. This robot is reportedly ideal for small bottles, vials, and tubes, including pharmaceutical vial filling and stoppering.
The company reports that, unlike traditional filling systems, the Ring Dex allows quick changeovers for low- to medium-volume production. The indexing ring is removable, and the work stations feature quick-release tooling to accommodate different sizes of bottles, vials, caps, tips, and more.
Industrial Heater
The recently launched CAST-X High Temperature Heater line features operating temperatures to 1,110°F (600°C). The company reports that CAST-X High Temp is compatible with heating flammable liquids and gases.
The units can reportedly heat solvents, isopropyl alcohol (IPA), disinfecting agents, acetone, pentane, ammonia, and other low-flashpoint liquids. Process gases such as nitrogen, argon, CO, and CO2 are also well-suited for these heaters, even if they’re under high pressure or in a cryogenic state. Deionized (DI) water is also commonly heated using CAST-X Heaters; if needed, steam can be generated.
